Why are there so many hypocritical christians ?

I'm a christian but I notice this a lot and i'm sure alot you atheists do too...probably more than any other religion. When i say hypocritical christians i mean people who self proclaim to be christians but don't live up to the teachings according to the Holy Bible. The true teachings of Christianity is to love one another, and to do no harm to other fellow beings. That is true. But yes, there have been in history and still present where these hypocrits do many detestable and horrible things. I'm ashamed of it...And please don't say all christians are hypocrits, there are people who stand true, even though it's very few. You may have met some, maybe not, I met few and I'm glad i did. But yes, just like you, I met many more more hypocrits and liars.
