Is it wrong for me to tell my stepson that God hates him?

His mother (my new wife) refused to do a good job of disciplining him and he was out of control. I used to just tell him that once in a while but he still acted out. Now that I am sure to tell him multiple times a day that God hates him he is much more subdued and just stays in his room. He is 13. Is this wrong?
