Buzzing,biting black beetle?

I had just took a trip outside to find my cat Olive,and I gave up and came inside. I heard a strange loud buzzing and think,"That was weird...". And thought nothing of it. Five seconds later something bites or stings me. I didn't get a good look at the black bug on my arm,because I flipped out,and flicked it off. It looks like a mosquito bite but I KNOW it's not. But it' was little and black is all I know. Anybody have an idea what it is?
