Crazy question about the laws regarding dogs for protection?

You seem to believe that if anybody comes onto your property, they are liable to be torn to shreds by your animals with no possible repercussions. Your home, your deathtrap. That is not actually how the law usually works. If you replace "scary intruder" with "8-year old neighbor coming to fetch the soccer ball they accidentally kicked into your yard" you can see the reasoning for this.
